The Hunter Corps


Jaegerkorpset, also known as The Hunter Corps is a Danish special forces unit of the Royal Danish Army, which the headquarters located in Aalborg Air Base. This elite unit’s primary tasks are covert ops, unconventional warfare, combat search and rescue, direct action and counter-terrorism, also they engage in hostage rescue, information operations and humanitarian missions. There are approximately more than 200 commandos in the unit.

Peruvian Armed Forces


Founded in 1821, the Fuerzas Armadas del Peru are the Peru’s military services, includes the independent army, Navy and Air Force components. Their main mission is to protect the country’s independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity against nearby any threats. They also participate in economic and social development of the country as well as in civil defense task s as optional missions. The headquarters are located in Lima and consists of over 150,000 active personal. The Peruvian National Police is often considered as a part of the armed forces, but in reality it is a different organization, with completely different missions and reports through the Ministry of Interior, while the armed forces through the Ministry of Defense.

Norwegian MJK


Marinejegerkommandoen is the naval special warfare component of the Norwegian Special Operation’s Forces alongside with the Forsvarets Spesialkommando, created in 1953. The unit’s base is located in Ramsund Naval Base, in the northern region of the country and operators are stationed on the Haakonsvern naval base in the southwestern region. The operators are specialized in full spectrum of ‘’Frogman’’ operations, such as swampland warfare, arctic warfare, special reconnaissance, protection of ships, counter-terrorism missions, hostage rescue and direct actions.

KCT


Royal Netherlands Army’s special forces, Korps Commandotroepen, is one of three principal units, specialized in special operations in the Netherlands along with Maritime Special Operations Forces and Brigade Speciale Beveiligingsopdrachten. The KCT can be deployed to anywhere in the world, under any situation to conduct various special operations, such as counter-terrorism. They have been active since 1942 and their primary roles are direct actions, military assistance and special reconnaissance. Their garrison is located in Roosendaal.

Iraqi Special Operations Forces


Iraqi Special Forces unit, ISOF were created by coalition forces shortly after the invasion in 2003. Directed by the Iraqi Counter Terrorism Command, the forces have three brigades under its command. The Iraqi Ministry of Defense funds the Counter Terrorism Service. They have over 10,000 soldiers that specialized in anti-guerilla operations during the Iraqi War.

Commandos Marine


Special Operation Forces of the French Navy, the Commandos Marine, consists of more than 600 operatives including support units. It’s headquarters are located in the northwestern region of France, with several bases spread across the country for specific trainings. They have been active since 1947. They also called ‘’Green Berets’’ , which specializes in special operations, counter-terrorism, direct actions, long range recon, special recon, underwater demolition, joint terminal attack controller and amphibious warfare.

Combat Swimmers


The only special-purpose force of the German Navy, the Combat Swimmers, was created after the 2nd World War, when Germany joined NATO in 1955. The ‘’frogman force’’ garrisoned in Eckernforde and specializes in direct actions, airborne operations, counter-terrorism, special reconnaissance, special surveillance and military assistance.

South Korean Black Berets


Republic of Korea Army Special Forces ‘’Black Berets’’ is the military command of the Korean Army and is responsible for their special operations forces. ROK special forces brigades work tightly with their counterparts in U.S. Army Special Forces ‘’Green Berets’’. They have been active since 1958 and have roughly 10,000 soldiers, garrisoned in Songpa District, Seoul. Their primary roles are very unconventional such as: direct actions, special reconnaissance, information operations, assassinations, guerilla warfare, hostage rescue, counter-terrorism, fire support and underwater demolition.

Army Ranger Wing


The elite special operations force of the Irish Defense Forces, the Army Ranger Wing is the military of Ireland. This Irish Army’s branch recruits soldiers from the Naval Service and Air Corps. The ARW operates both domestically and internationally, and reports directly to the Chief of Staff. The unit has over 150 members and based in Curragh Camp, County Kildare. It was established in 1980 and has been active for the past 36 years.

Sayeret Matkal


The direct subordinate of the Directorate of Military Intelligence of the Israeli Defense Forces the unit Sayeret Matkal was formed in 1957. Focusing on the intelligence gathering the unit also specializes in special reconnaissance behind the enemy lines, plus tasked with hostage rescue, espionage and counter terrorism. Established from an example of British Air Service the unit has been involved in almost every major counter terrorism operations since its creation. 

Pakistani Special Service Group (SSG)


Around 1956 The Pakistani Army established its own Special Forces, known as Special Service Group. It was modeled on the British SAS and US Special Forces. Headquarter is located in Tarbela Cantonment, with eight battalions led by major-general, then divided by four companies with over 700 hundred men and then into platoons with 10 man teams. 

Navy SEALs


U.S. Navy’s main special operations forces Sea, Land and Air team also known as SEALs was formed in 1962 when the U.S. government needed guerilla and counter-guerilla units which could operate on sea, land and air.

Joint Task Force 2


JTF2 also known as Joint Task Force 2 (Force opérationnelle interarmées 2 in French ) is a Canadian elite special forces. JTF2 serves alongside other forces and are part of Canadian Special Operations Forces. The base is located in Ontario region near Ottawa. Its main tasks are counter-terrorism, but also focuses on direct action, hostage rescue and foreign internal defense.  

EKO Cobra


Under the direct control of Austrian Federal Ministry of the Interior, the Eko Cobra is the main counter-terrorism special operations tactical unit of Austria. With over 450 operatives, the unit was founded in 1978 shortly after the Munich Olympics in 1972, when Israeli athletes were attacked. Headquarters are located in Wiener Neustadt. 

Delta Force


The First Special Forces Operational Detachment- Delta, A.K.A Delta Force is an American army unit focused on hostage rescue and counter-terrorism. Delta force and it’s US Navy part, A.K.A Seal Team Six are both under control of the Joint Special Operations Command, which are the main counter-terrorism units.  

British Special Air Service


The British Army’s special forcesSpecial Air Service, was founded in 1941 and first started as regiment and later in 1950 was reconstituted as a corp. There are 22 Special Air Service Regiments in the corps and its main missions are covert reconnaissance, counter-terrorism, direct action and hostage rescue and intelligence gathering. 

Russian Alpha Group


Directorate ‘’A’’ of the FSB Special Purpose Center (Spetsgruppa A), also known as Alpha group is a special and stand alone sub unit of the Russian Special Forces direct subordinate of the Russian Federal Security Service, who is tasked with counter-terrorism.
